a little bit of our weekend...
Love Spring.
Love getting out of the house.
Love watching everything bud & bloom.
Love playing with the kids.
Love walking around the block.
Love being silly.

Even though the quality of this picture isn't the best, I just love how huge the trees look behind the kids. Just starting to bud. So full of color.
Finally doing a little more scrapbooking after a bit of dry spell. A bit of a creative break.
Combined a bunch of different products from my stash for this one. These 2 love each other so much! Hope that continues.

I sincerely apologize...
Long time...no blog.
Ooopps!
But now I officially have a reason to post.
This girl totally made my day today! I completed this layout for a challenge on the Studio Calico blog:

So lucky me, I won a RAK for completing & posting the challenge!
The picture is of Aidan and his fish Thomas soon after his arrival in our family. The numbers detail little bits & pieces of what's going on in Aidan's life right now.
In other news...
I was going to start posting a photo-a-day for the month leading up to my birthday....but doesn't look like that's going to happen. So now I may just try to do a week in review. So look for another post this week highlighting the events of this past week.

Notes from the "greats"

Aidan's school just finished off their "Post Office" unit. As part of the learning experience, friends & family members were asked to write letters to their favorite kindergartner. Aidan received a bunch of letters, but I think it is so great to have received very special notes from 2 of his great-grandparents.
I don't think he realizes it now, but he is a very lucky kid to have so many great-grandparents still living. I especially like the drawing on Grandpa Johnson's note.
I never really had a chance to know any of my "greats", so I guess that makes it even more special.
In different news, just received a bunch of vacation pictures in the mail today, so planning on working on a new album soon!

Another birthday and some sweet valentines!
First, a Happy Birthday to my brother!
Such a good daddy, brother, uncle, son & husband. Enjoy your day, little brother!
Sweet Valentine Ornaments
Just some cutesy little ornaments that I made from papier mache ornaments I have had laying around for years. Used Perfect Paper adhesive from ArtQuest to adhere the papers, and then embellished them. I think they turned out rather cute...especially love the one for my dear Grandma (on the right-hand side).
I've been spending entirely too much time on-line looking at all the sneak-peeks for new scrapbooking items from the CHA winter show in California this week. Looking forward to a bunch of the new releases!
TTFN (ta-ta for now)

free = good!!
Just got a package of goodies from Shannon Tidwell from KI Memories today!!! Lucky me, I was picked as a random winner for posting a comment on their blog. Go check it out!
Also expecting my order from Gymboree today. Ordered a bunch of cute stuff for Olivia with my Gymbucks.
More scrapbooking goodies should be arriving soon from Studio Calico pretty soon too! Really looking forward to that.
Hmmm... that's probably enough shopping for a while.
Good mail days & free stuff make me happy!
